About Us
Jan Baldt and Dr. Christopher Baldt are the founders of Sonshine Equine. They are both Delaware natives.
Jan has been working with horses and people for over 25 years. She recently received a certification from The Shepherds Academy in Biblically Based Equine Assisted Learning.
Dr. Baldt is a human, horse and dog Chiropractor in Millsboro.
The Mission Is
To encourage and empower participants using horses to develop present-time awareness, conflict resolution, patience, and self-identity.
Sonshine Equine is a faith-based equine teaching center. The specific activities create a space allowing the development of a loving and learning relationship between the horse and participant.

Come meet our miniature donkeys at Sonshine Equine...Wilma and Pebbles. Wilma is the mother of Pebbles. Some days Pebbles thinks she is the boss! They love carrots and getting groomed. They will put a huge smile on your face and give you tons of love.
