Volunteers are the heart of Sonshine Equine. You do not need to have horse experience to help. All volunteers must be at least 14 years old. New volunteers will attend an orientation, volunteer training and have a background check. 

We need help in the following areas:

• Horse leaders 
• Horse side walkers
• Horse camp leaders
• Feed team 
• Handyman
• Grounds help
• Grant Writers
• Bring your talents and make a difference in our community!

There are so many ways to make a difference. Whether you have just a few hours or a special skill to share, your involvement can help us create positive change in the lives of our participants and horses. Volunteers are the heart of our organization, and every gesture—large or small—enriches our programs and strengthens our community spirit.

We are a Non-profit 501(c)(3) center.

All  new volunteers will attend a orientation meeting in

March of 2026.

You may also start volunteering at any time of the year.

Our generous volunteers are always giving. 

At Sonshine Equine we instill the safety practices while working with horses. We take every opportunity to make what we do a learning experience.
