Volunteers are the heart of Sonshine Equine. You do not need to have horse experience to help. All volunteers must be at least 14 years old. New volunteers must attend an orientation meeting, volunteer training and have background check. Call us and let us know how you would like to help.
We need help in the following areas:
Horse leaders for lessons
Horse side walkers
Horse camp helpers
Horse care -watering- hay and clean up
Bring your talents and make a difference in our community
If you have a love for horses and people that are in need you will fit right in.
If you don't have the time to help at the farm, learn about our mission and share our story and vision. Help us reach out to the community to give, sponsor a rider, sponsor a horse, drop off supplies for camp.
We are supported by a giving community and count on donations to help those who can not afford to ride.
We are a Non-profit 501(c)(3) center.
All volunteers will attend a Orientation meeting. There is a training every month. In order to volunteer with lessons volunteers will be training is specific areas.
There is always work to do on the farm. We have fencing to maintain and grounds to keep up with.
At Sonshine Equine we instill the safety practices while working with horses. We take every opportunity to make what we do a learning experience.
